Services : Audits and inspections

Do you ensure safety, or insure accidents?

It doesn't matter if you're a small, local contractor or a global energy company - keeping on top of site safety can be a never-ending battle. Your sites may have different equipment and different rules; your staff and subcontractors may have different policies and training, and you're in the minority if you can guarantee every eyebolt and every line of every operating manual is guaranteed to be correct. Laws and standards change on a daily basis, and guidance from the government, trade bodies, national or international standards often contradicts itself. If you're responsible for a fleet of wind farms, or a fleet of stepladders, not knowing what you've got - or not knowing how people are working with them - is a poor excuse to give when you're interviewed after an accident.

Our audit and inspection service provides a totally independent expert assessment of your height safety, confined space and rescue capabilites, both in terms of equipment and training - what's out there and how it's being used. We can visit sites anywhere in the UK and report in detail on access, escape, anchor points and the practicalities of rescue, without any hidden agendas. If something isn't suitable, we'll tell you, and suggest a better solution. Because we're not trying to sell things, we don't care where your equipment comes from, only what it does.

We can also provide desktop assessments, purely concentrating on your policies, safe systems of work, rescue plans etc. and advise on their legality and suitability, as well as highlighting areas of improvement. We can run scenario-based testing of emergency response systems, based on our extensive experience of the real-world issues faced by staff and the emergency services for all types of work at height and confined space incidents.
