Blog: Options for buying ProGuide books
Our ProGuide books are bought by rescue teams, government agencies and charities, but also by individuals, either as a personal reference book or as part of their team kit, claimed on expenses. The best options for ordering depend on who you are, and how many copies you need.
If you're looking for one or two copies for personal use, or as a gift, and you need them quickly, then Amazon is the place to go. We always try to maintain stock at the UK warehouse, though sometimes a customer will buy the lot and it can take a couple of days to replenish. Amazon Prime customers get free UK shipping, and the usual next-day express delivery service is available for UK customers. Amazon will deliver our books to any country it serves, however the postal charges for some non-EU regions can be high.
Teams and government agencies who wish to buy in bulk (at least 12 copies), or pay on account, should contact us directly for pricing and lead times. We provide a number of extra services when ordering with an official purchase order from a public agency (fire and rescue services, government departments or military forces) or a registered charity:
- Free standard shipping for all UK orders.
- Free standard shipping for all non-UK orders of more than 10 copies.
- Cover branding with your team logo (GBP 35.00 per order for less than 24 copies, free for 24 or more).
- 30 day credit terms, subject to status.
Bulk and branded orders usually ship within 10 working days. Discounts are available on orders of 48 units or more, contact us for details.
Trade orders
To purchase our books for resale or use in commercial training programs, contact us for pricing. All titles can be ordered through the book trade channels (Bertram/Gardners).
VAT
Printed books, and the shipping costs for orders that only contain printed books, are zero-rated for UK VAT, but some EU countries charge VAT and Amazon will automatically include that in the purchase price.
